Andrea is a fully trained spiritual director who has spent the last three years researching spiritual abuse, specifically it’s impact on our understanding of God and how spiritual formation practices may help. She is currently finishing up her Doctor of Ministry, and she hopes to publish her findings.

Throughout her training as a spiritual director Andrea found herself drawn to the theological concept of the True Self through the work of psychotherapist and spiritual director David Benner. She wrote about the impact of shame on spiritual growth as part of her Internship program.

While researching for her Doctor of Ministry project, Andrea noticed the impact of harmful church experiences on our own identity. She’s passionate about helping others find their True Self so they may come home to who they were created to be. This workshop was born out of her project.

Andrea holds a Master of Divinity in Spiritual Formation, and is in the process of completing a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from Tyndale Seminary.
